PHS MISSION FIT

MENTAL WELLNESS

Mental wellness is the ability to manage stress, adapt to change, and make sound decisions in both low- and high-pressure situations. It is a critical component of Public Health Service officer readiness, supporting focus, resilience, and mission effectiveness.

Demanding operations require strong coping skills, resiliency, and a high degree of mental focus to overcome both expected and unexpected challenges. Mental wellness strengthens an officer's capacity to respond effectively, maintain composure, and support fellow team members during difficult situations.

The resources below offer optional tools and education materials to help Public Health Service officers manage stress and enhance mental readiness. Officers are encouraged to explore the options that best meet their individual needs. For additional support, guidance, or confidential assistance, officers may connect with Corps Care. For personalized support or clinical concerns, please contact your healthcare provider or another licensed medical professional.
