The National Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia Association is a non-profit, voluntary organization formed to educate and inform the public, patients and their families, and health professionals about the nature and impact of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and related disorders -- chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction syndrome, chronic Epstein-Barr virus, and myalgic encephalomyelitis. Services include public education and referral services to physicians and support groups. The organization also encourages legislative and private funding for research.
Publications
The National CFSF Association produces and distributes a series of brochures and informational packets at nominal cost. Topics include CFS, coping skills, disability benefits, and rehabilitative techniques. Serial publication: Heart of America News (newsletter).
