The National Association for Practical Nurse Education and Service (NAPNES), established in 1941, develops curricula for practical nursing schools; and sponsors seminars, workshops, and conferences. Technical assistance in program development is provided to state associations. DATABASE: NAPNES maintains a computerized record of the continuing education activities of LPNs, and participants' transcripts are available to them upon request.
Publications
The NAPNES prepares publications on continuing education and methods and practices for both faculty and students. Serial publication: Journal of Practical Nursing, quarterly-- educational and professional developments; NAPNES Forum (newsletter)--supplements The Journal of Practical Nursing.
