Report Title:	Assessment of the Child Preventive Care Timeline: Results from a Series of In-Depth Inteviews
*Abstract:*	In-depth interviews with 15 primary care providers, including 13 pediatricians and 2 family practice physicians, were conducted between September 3-12, 2003 on the format and organization of the Childcare Preventive Care Timeline, a part of the Put into Prevention Practice toolbook. Providers were selected to represent a variety of geographic and clinical settings, and treated patients from a mix of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. For the majority of pediatricians, 95% or more of their patients are under 18 years old; among family practitioners, 25% of patients are under age 18. In nearly every pediatric practice, the majority of patients are five years old or younger.

Report Title:	Focus Group Report Findings of Four Focus Groups Regarding a Brochure Related to Smoking Cessation
*Abstract:*	The Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research (AHRQ) is developing a booklet to assist smokers to stop smoking. The booklet is written at a level as to be an effective information resource for smokers of all literacy levels. To aid the development of this booklet, focus groups were conducted to explore the perceptions, opinions, beliefs, and attitudes of smokers who want to quit smoking, smokers who have tried to quit and have since relapsed, and those who have recently quit smoking.

Report Title:	School Board Member and Superintendent Survey Results for The Examination of Communication Factors Affecting Policymakers
*Abstract:*	California schools play a significant role in feeding California's children and thus, contribute to the acquisition of lifetime dietary habits (California Center for Health Improvement, 1998; California Department of Education, 2000). Many of the foods adolescents eat at school are high in fat, sugar, sodium and calories, and low in fiber. These types of foods are sold in part because they are popular and thus, create a sales profit. These nutrition policy practices can contribute to inadequate diet and the acquisition of poor dietary habits. Very little information exists regarding the motivating and deterring factors that influence school board members in relation to nutrition policy. This report provides highlights from key informant interviews and other survey results to enhance understanding of California school board members as well as other decision-makers such as superintendents, and the factors that influence their policy decision-making. The study was undertaken through collaboration between California Project LEAN (Leaders Encouraging Activity and Nutrition) [CPL], 10 California communities, and the University of South Florida (USF), College of Public Health. All members formed the Community Research Collaborative. This report was partially supported through Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
