Founded in 1987, the National Native American AIDS Prevention Center (NNAAPC) is a non-profit corporation governed by an entirely Native American Board of Directors (including people with HIV), tribal officials, public health professionals, health care providers, and substance abuse program administrators. NNAAPC's mission is to stop the spread of HIV and related diseases among American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawai'ians and to improve the quality of life of members of these communities infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
